Mats Sundin is he waffling on Going back to the Leafs or just trying to cause a stir?
Mats Sundin is a great hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs yet never got his due. By that I mean things having a solid core of wingers with him. Yes, Mats would dearly love to win a Stanley Cup, only that may never happen with this group, or the people who run the Leafs who are only interested in money.
Mats could easily score over a hundred points per season with the right players, but it’s grinding him down and no one wants to be a part of any of that if you have to carry the majority of the load. Mats was offered 10 million aseason for two years by Mike Gillis the GM of Vancouver Canucks, and a possible deal with the Montreal Canadiens.
Mats was making about 5.5 with the Leafs and he doesn’t have much more time left to decide. he could quit altogether and never worry about his future anyway.
I do hope Mats at least goes with a team that’s a contender like Montreal or even
the NewYork Rangers. we’ll see.
